Ernest Childers

Name: Ernest Childers

Birth date: Sakra 19th 1806

Age as of 1826: 20

Race:
 Ilkhatal/Killer

History:

The stuttering Ernest Childers is another Killer Kingsley strangely slighted in his memoir. It most likely had to do with the fact that, unlike many of the other KLA members, Ernest was born into comfort. He was the son of a butler and for the Shivian representative, Archibald Cleese. The Honorable Cleese was sympathetic to the Killer cause and ensured that Ernest was well educated and even arranged a clerkship for him at an accounting firm. Because of this, Ernest did not suffer the way many other KLA members did and mostly likely would never have joined the KLA, if he had not bumped into Devin Tossier. Tossier forced a friendship and seemed to have stayed at Ernest's apartment whenever he had angered too many of his female companions and, according to what remains of Ernest's journal, invited him out to dinner only to have Ernest pay for the meal.

According to his journal, Ernest's decision to join the KLA was inspired by a tragic visit from Devin. He seemed to have burst into Ernest's apartment, holding up a homeless Killer. Ernest fetched some water and when he returned to the main entrance the homeless person was dead. Ernest did his best to try and comfort Devin and had to walk him to a strange secret meeting of his. When Ernest arrived at the meeting place, he discovered it was where the KLA met. He admitted in his journal that he was terrified and when Siegfried Von Hult asked him if he was interesting in joining, he said yes. Devin later apologized for forcing him into the KLA that way, but as time went on, Ernest had to admit that what they said made sense. Ernest claims in his journal that he met Asia during his fifth meeting and it was love at first sight. Pages upon pages are dedicated to descriptions of her, half finished poems dedicated to her, and flustered records of his time with her.
